How Organisations Work (HOW), is a tool that we developed to help us understand the character and personality of an organisation. It can either be operated as an online survey – where a cross section of the workforce are asked to fill it in, or there are a set of cards that can be used in a workshop setting. By generating responses to a series of questions about how an organisation manages its people, plans for the future and takes decisions, it provides a unique profile for the organisation and highlights particular attributes that exist within the organisation. The test was designed in partnership with an HR consultant and is used at the early stages of corporate or employee branding projects.
